By March 1997, when Camel performed at the Billboard Live Club in Los Angeles, the band was in a phase of revitalization, following a hiatus during the early 1990s. Their live performance, captured in the "Coming of Age" DVD, showcased their enduring appeal and musical evolution. Prior to this recording, Camel released the studio album "Dust and Dreams" in 1991, which marked a significant departure towards a more narrative-driven style, focusing on the themes of John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath." The "Coming of Age" performance features key members Andrew Latimer and Colin Bass, highlighting the band's ability to blend intricate instrumentals with evocative storytelling.
