Phish

In August 2017, Phish was well into a celebrated resurgence in their career, highlighted by their Baker's Dozen run at Madison Square Garden, where this recording took place. Prior to this series of shows, the band released the album "Big Boat" in 2016, which marked their first studio effort since 2014's "Fuego." The Baker's Dozen run featured 13 consecutive nights of performances, each with a unique theme, and the band creatively associated them with different types of donuts given to fans. During this particular show, the performance of "Sanity" included notable quotes from Radiohead's "Everything In Its Right Place," illustrating Phish's penchant for mashups and improvisation. This live recording exemplifies the band's deep connection with their audience and showcases their ability to blend diverse musical influences into their live performances.
