In July 2015, Phish was in the midst of their 11th summer tour since their reunion in 2009, showcasing their enduring popularity and vitality as a live band. Prior to this recording, the band had released their album "Fuego" in 2014, which marked their first studio album in five years and re-established their presence in the modern music scene. The live performance at the Les Schwab Amphitheater not only highlighted their improvisational prowess but also featured several debuts, including "Mercury," "How Many People Are You," "Heavy Rotation," and "Scabbard," showcasing the band’s continual evolution and willingness to experiment with new material in a live setting. This concert exemplified the tight-knit synergy of the band, with playful teases during songs, reinforcing Phish's unique ability to blend spontaneity with structured performances, which has contributed to their legendary live reputation.
