In September 2011, when Bright Eyes performed "Bowl Of Oranges" live at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery, the band was coming off the heels of their much-anticipated album "The People’s Key." Released earlier that year, this album marked their first studio effort since 2007's "Cassadaga" and saw Conor Oberst, the band’s frontman, exploring new themes alongside electronic elements and a more expansive sound. The cemetery setting itself adds an intriguing layer to the live performance, with its historical gravestones and atmospheric ambiance creating an intimate backdrop for Oberst’s deeply personal lyrics. Fun fact: this performance is part of their 2011 tour, which celebrated their return after a four-year hiatus from recording.
