Bright Eyes

On June 4, 2015, when Conor Oberst delivered a live rendition of "Another Travelin' Song" at World Cafe Live at The Queen, he was in a fascinating transitional period of his career. Interestingly, just a year earlier, in 2014, Bright Eyes had released the album *Upside Down Mountain*, which was notable for its exploration of themes like loss and hope, embracing a more mature, reflective sound. This performance, though showcasing Oberst as a solo artist, still brimmed with the stark, emotive storytelling that characterized Bright Eyes. What’s particularly charming about this performance is that Oberst was joined by talented artists Rebecca and Megan Lovell from Larkin Poe, which added a fresh, dynamic layered sound to the piece.
