Bright Eyes

In May 2022, when Bright Eyes performed live at The Jones Assembly in Oklahoma City, the band was riding high on the resurgence of their critically acclaimed album *Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was,* which had been released in August 2020. This album marked their first studio output in nearly a decade, showcasing a fresh but introspective sound while still capturing the essence of what fans love about Bright Eyes. It was a poignant return for the band, blending rich storytelling with a mature reflection on life and loss—fitting for a live show setting where intimate lyrics resonate even more deeply with the audience. Interestingly, during the concert captured on video, the band showcased some of these newer tracks, illustrating their growth while also paying homage to their past. It’s a fantastic time to catch them live, as they were not just revisiting old favorites but also welcoming audiences into their new chapter.
