Nirvana

By October 1990, when Nirvana performed "In Bloom" at Leeds Polytechnic, they were riding the buzz of their groundbreaking album, *Bleach*, released back in 1989. This show came just a year before the iconic *Nevermind* hit the airwaves, catapulting them into superstardom. Interestingly, this early performance captures Nirvana’s raw energy and Kurt Cobain's evolving stage presence—an essential precursor to the grunge explosion. At this point, they were still honing their sound, blending punk rock with melodic elements that would soon define their later work. Little did the audience know that just a year later, Nirvana would reinvent rock music as we knew it.
