Portugal. The Man

In January 2017, during the live recording of "The Sun" at FM4 in Austria, Portugal. The Man was experiencing a notable phase in their career following the release of their album, *The Satanic Satanist*, which came out in 2009. At this point, the band had been building momentum with their eclectic sound and creative approach, but they had not yet achieved the widespread recognition that would come later. An interesting aspect of this live performance is that "The Sun" became a signature song for the band, illustrating their penchant for blending alternative rock with catchy pop elements. This performance was significant as it showcased their energetic live presence and musical evolution, setting the stage for their later commercial breakthrough with the hit "Feel It Still," which would come in 2017, shortly after this recording.
