Green Day

In August 2013, Green Day performed at the Reading Festival, showcasing their energetic live presence and extensive catalog. At this time, the band had recently released their trilogy of albums: "¡Uno!", "¡Dos!", and "¡Tré!", which came out in 2012 and 2013. Notably, "¡Uno!" was the first album in this series and marked a return to their punk roots, following the commercial success of "21st Century Breakdown" and "American Idiot." The live recording captures the band in the midst of a significant phase of their career, as they were promoting this new material while still drawing heavily from their earlier hits. Additionally, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong had recently completed treatment for substance abuse, which added a layer of resilience and authenticity to their performances during this period, resonating powerfully with fans.
