The Beach Boys

In 2017, The Beach Boys were riding a wave of nostalgia and continuing to captivate audiences. Just prior to this live recording at the Conner Prairie Amphitheater, they had released 'That’s Why God Made the Radio' in 2012, their first studio album in over two decades. This album marked a significant return, featuring fresh musical elements while retaining the beloved harmonies that defined their early sound. It’s interesting to note that around this time, the band was made up of founding member Mike Love and longtime collaborator Bruce Johnston, showcasing the enduring legacy of their music. Given the mix of old hits and newer material at live performances, fans were treated to a blend of cherished classics and fresh takes as they danced along to timeless tunes like 'Do You Wanna Dance?' during this lively show in Fishers, Indiana.
