Dead & Company

On August 23, 2021, Dead & Company performed "St. Stephen" live at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, a venue historically significant for its association with the original Woodstock festival. At this point in their career, Dead & Company had recently released the album "Dead & Company: Live From the Fox Theatre," which came out in 2021, showcasing their dynamic live sound and ongoing connection to the legacy of the Grateful Dead. The band, formed in 2015, features members of the Grateful Dead, including Bob Weir and Bill Kreutzmann, along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti, allowing them to bridge generations of fans. The performance at Bethel further emphasizes the band's commitment to live music and their ability to recreate the improvisational spirit of the Grateful Dead, while also being part of a resurgence in live performances post-pandemic.
