Dinosaur Jr.

In June 2013, when Dinosaur Jr. performed at the Glastonbury Festival, the band was in the midst of a resurgence following their reunion in 2005. Just a few years prior, they released "I Bet on Sky" in 2012, their third album since reuniting and a continuation of their signature blend of alternative rock and noise pop. This live set, featuring classics like "Freak Scene" and covers such as "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure and "Training Ground" by Deep Wound, underscores their influence and versatility. Notably, J Mascis’ distinctive guitar work and vocals remained a cornerstone of their sound, while Lou Barlow's contributions lent depth to their live performance. The Glastonbury show highlighted their enduring appeal and ability to connect with both longtime fans and a new audience, reflecting a solidified place in the modern music landscape.
