Snow Patrol

In May 2009, during their performance at the Pinkpop Festival, Snow Patrol had recently released their album "A Hundred Million Suns" in October 2008. This album featured the hit single "Take Back the City," which had solidified their status in the alternative rock scene. By the time of the live recording of "Open Your Eyes," the band was enjoying significant commercial success, particularly in Europe, where they had garnered a dedicated fanbase with their anthemic sound. Interestingly, following this performance, Snow Patrol entered a period of relative quietness, ultimately taking a break before resuming their career with new material. The following studio album, "Fallen Empires," was not released until late 2011, marking a crucial transitional phase for the band as they prepared to evolve their sound and artistry.
