Built to Spill

In July 2022, Built to Spill performed live at the KEXP studio in Seattle, showcasing their signature blend of indie rock and intricate guitar work. Prior to this performance, the band had released their album "When the Wind Forgets Your Name" in September 2022, marking their first studio album in six years. This period demonstrated the band's ability to evolve while remaining true to their roots, as the new material melded with classic tracks during live performances. Notably, the set featured songs like "I Would Hurt A Fly," highlighting Doug Martsch’s distinctive songwriting and vocal style. The lineup for this performance included longtime member Martsch alongside drummer Teresa Esguerra and bassist Melanie Radford, illustrating a collaboration that reflects both the band's legacy and its ongoing creativity in the indie rock scene.
