Built to Spill

On July 24, 2015, Built to Spill performed a live session at the KEXP studio in Seattle, showcasing their song "Living Zoo." At this time, the band was actively promoting their latest release, "Untethered Moon," which came out in April 2015. This album marked their return after a lengthy hiatus since "There Is No Enemy" in 2009 and featured a lineup change with the addition of bassist Jason Albertini. The live recording highlights the band's characteristic blend of melodic rock and introspective lyrics, which have been hallmarks of their sound since the 1990s. Interestingly, Built to Spill is known for their dynamic live performances, often featuring extended jams and improvisation, making this KEXP session an excellent representation of their artistic approach and ongoing evolution in the music scene.
