The Hold Steady

On June 17, 2017, The Hold Steady performed live at the Empty Bottle in Chicago, featuring a vibrant rendition of "Positive Jam" and a snippet of "The Swish." By this time, the band had just released their studio album "Thrashing Thru the Passion" in 2019, marking a significant return to their signature sound. Interestingly, this performance came after a period of relative quiet for the band, as they had taken a brief hiatus. Not only did this show highlight their undeniable energy and connection with live audiences, but it also underscored their persistence in storytelling through music—a hallmark of their identity.
