In June 2017, during their vibrant performance at Rock the Garden, Car Seat Headrest was riding high on the success of their critically acclaimed album "Teens of Style," released just a couple of years earlier. By this time, they had also released "Twin Fantasy," a reimagining of an earlier work that showcased their growth as artists. This live recording captures the band's raw energy, especially highlighted in tracks like "Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales," which intertwine poignant lyrics with a captivating sound that resonates with fans. Notably, frontman Will Toledo's passionate delivery and the band's ability to blend lo-fi aesthetics with indie rock flair left a lasting impression.
