The Promise Ring

On August 14, 2016, The Promise Ring performed "Forget Me" at The Masquerade in Atlanta during the Wrecking Ball festival, marking a significant moment in the band's reunion and revival after a long hiatus. Prior to this live recording, The Promise Ring had released their fifth studio album, "Wood/Water," in 2002. After disbanding in 2003, they returned with a series of live shows in the mid-2010s, culminating in the release of "Actually, the Best of The Promise Ring" in 2017, highlighting their enduring legacy and impact on the emo and indie rock scenes. The 2016 performance showcased the band's ability to connect with both long-time fans and a new audience, illustrating their lasting resonance in the genre.
