The Promise Ring

The performance features "Why Did We Ever Meet," a track from their 1997 album "Nothing Feels Good," which was pivotal in shaping the emo genre. Interesting to note is that at the time of this live recording, The Promise Ring was reestablishing their presence in the music scene, having disbanded in 2002 before reuniting for tours and festival appearances. The concert at Irving Plaza was part of the 2012 tour celebrating their rich history and contribution to the emo and pop-punk movements, showcasing their enduring legacy and the nostalgia associated with their earlier works.
