Dinosaur Jr.

In August 1997, Dinosaur Jr. was riding the wave of their revitalized career following the release of 'Hand It Over,' their fifth studio album. Although not as commercially successful as some of their previous works, this album showcased their signature sound mixed with introspective lyrics. The live recording from the Bizarre Festival in Cologne captures the band in a vibrant moment, long after their initial rise to fame in the late '80s and early '90s. By this time, the band's lineup included founding members J Mascis and Lou Barlow, who had reconciled after years of tension. Interestingly, J Mascis' distinct guitar work and vocal style continue to resonate with fans, proving that their live performances, like the one featured here, remain electric and engaging. This particular set includes 'Can't We Move This?,' a track that reflects their unique blend of lyrical depth and powerful melodies.
