In June 2011, Primus delivered a standout performance of "Tommy the Cat" at Bonnaroo, just a few years after releasing their critically acclaimed album "Green Naugahyde" in 2011. With this album marking their first studio release in over a decade, fans were eager to witness the band’s signature blend of funk metal and eccentric storytelling live. Interestingly, "Tommy the Cat" is a beloved classic from their earlier album, "Sailing The Seas Of Cheese," showcasing the band’s ability to meld humor and musical complexity. The Bonnaroo show reflected how Primus, led by the charismatic Les Claypool, continued to evolve while staying true to their roots.
