Mother Love Bone

Before the live recording of "Stardog Champion" at the Club with No Name on November 30, 1988, Mother Love Bone had released their debut EP, "Shine," just a few months prior. This was a vibrant moment in the band's journey, capturing the essence of the burgeoning Seattle sound. Their blend of glam rock and grunge was creating a buzz, setting the stage for their later full-length album, "Apple," which dropped in 1990. The live show is particularly significant, as it showcases lead vocalist Andrew Wood's charismatic stage presence and the powerful energy the band brought to their performances. Tragically, this was just before Wood's untimely passing in March 1990, making this recording a poignant reminder of what could have been for the band and its impact on the music scene.
