Built to Spill

In April 2006, Built to Spill was riding high on the wave generated by their album *You in Reverse*, which had been released just a year earlier. By the time they performed at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster on July 3, 2007, they were bolstered by critical acclaim and a loyal fan base, further amplifying their live performances. An interesting tidbit—Doug Martsch, the band's frontman, has always been a force of creativity, oftentimes drawing upon his indie rock roots, stemming from his days with Treepeople, infusing that spirit into Built to Spill’s sound. So, when they played *Wherever You Go* that night, it wasn’t just a song; it was a reflection of years of growth as artists, connecting deeply with the audience in a space that felt as intimate as the music itself.
