On June 23, 2019, Dead & Company took the stage at Citi Field in Queens, New York, delivering an electrifying performance that resonated across the crowd. Prior to this live recording, the band had released their album "Oteil & Friends" in 2019, where bassist Oteil Burbridge collaborated with other musicians from the jam scene. This show in particular was part of their summer tour, during which they showcased the band’s ability to blend classic Grateful Dead tunes with their own modern flair, captivating both long-time fans and newcomers alike. Interestingly, the set II opener of this concert became a fan favorite, illustrating the chemistry among the band members, including John Mayer’s guitar wizardry that keeps the spirit of the Dead alive.
