The Black Keys

In August 2007, The Black Keys performed 'Girl Is On My Mind' live at Lollapalooza in Grant Park, Chicago, a significant moment in their career. By this time, the duo had just released their album 'Magic Potion' in September 2006, which showcased their raw, garage-rock sound and marked a pivotal point for them. Though they hadn't yet reached the heights of mainstream fame they would later achieve with albums like 'Brothers' and 'El Camino,' their performance at Lollapalooza captured the electrifying energy they brought to their live shows. Fans were starting to recognize their gritty blues-infused rock, and this festival gig helped broaden their audience. Interestingly, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney often preferred the intimacy of smaller venues at this time, so playing a major festival like Lollapalooza was a thrilling, albeit slightly overwhelming, experience.
