Big Thief

On August 8, 2017, Big Thief delivered an intimate and captivating live performance at KEXP's studio in Seattle, just a few months after releasing their second album, 'Capacity,' in June of the same year. This album, which followed their debut 'Masterpiece,' showcased a deeper exploration of their unique sound—blending introspective lyrics with intricate melodies. Live renditions of tracks like 'Mary' and 'Great White Shark' really allowed the band's raw emotional energy to shine. Interestingly, 'Capacity' received critical acclaim, further solidifying Big Thief's place in the modern indie scene. Fast forward to now, and they’ve continued to evolve, but this performance captures a magical moment in their trajectory as they honed their craft and connected with their audience in a personal way.
