Before their orchestral collaboration at the Holland Performing Arts Center in 2019, Guster had recently released their album "Look Alive" in 2019, marking a significant return after a five-year hiatus. This period was crucial for the band as they embraced a new creative direction, and the live recording of "OMAGAH!" showcases their ability to blend their signature sound with symphonic elements, captivating their audience in a unique way.
