On May 11, 2024, Guster performed a full set at Somerville Porchfest, showcasing their signature blend of folk-rock that has captivated audiences for years. Just prior to this performance, the band had released 'Evermotion' in 2015, an album that marked a new chapter in their sound, featuring a more experimental approach. 'Evermotion' was well-received, highlighting their growth and evolution. Interestingly, Guster has always had a knack for live performances, often drawing energy from the crowd, and that was evident during this Porchfest show. Sadly, the set was cut short due to a medical situation in the crowd, a reminder of how unpredictable live events can be. But such moments only deepen the connection between the band and their fans, making each performance uniquely memorable.
